Each year the GSLFIA and the FAA host the Annual Aviation Awards Banquet, honoring those aviation professionals who have gone “above and beyond”, demonstrating the true Spirit of St. Louis in the previous year.

The Awards Banquet features a delicious catered dinner from Choices Catering.  Guests will enjoy an elegant dinner and entertainment by our Master of Ceremonies and special Keynote Speaker.

After sampling several tempting desserts, the awards program begins.  The GSLFIA presents awards to outstanding flight instructors with the Rick Albrecht New CFI of the Year Award, the St. Louis CFI of the Year Award and special recognition is given to an individual who has dedicated their career to aviation with the James G. Byrnes Aviation Excellence Award.

The FAA then presents awards to outstanding CFI’s, FAASTeam Representatives and honors lifetime aviators and mechanics with the Wright Brothers Master Pilot and Charles Taylor Awards.
